Coup De Main presents: Paramore & Twenty One Pilots announce New Zealand 'self-titled' tour dates for January 2014!

Coup De Main is delighted to announce that Paramore will be returning to New Zealand in January to play two shows - Auckland's Vector Arena on Sunday, January 19th, and Christchurch's CBS Arena on Tuesday, January 21st - as part of their 'self-titled' album world tour.

I can't wait to see '(One Of Those) Crazy Girls' and 'Grow Up' live!

About their upcoming tour, the band's Hayley Williams says: "We're so excited to finally come back to New Zealand! No lie, it's one of our favourite places in the entire world. Can't wait to see all of our P-more family at the shows and just party."

Special guests - and Fueled By Ramen label-mates - Twenty One Pilots, will open for Paramore at both shows.

Tickets go on sale from 9am on Monday, September 9th! Keep an eye out for pre-sales.

"Universally hailed as an electrifying live act with sold out signs slapped on stadiums across the globe, Paramore are a band on a stratospheric trajectory seemingly without limits in what they are accomplishing. Nowhere is this more obvious than in their recently released self-titled fourth album that has received the best reviews of an already massively acclaimed career.

The album’s phenomenal success saw the Grammy Award nominated band from Nashville, Tennessee hitting #1 on Albums charts around the world including New Zealand, USA, UK, Australia, Ireland, Argentina, Brazil and Mexico. The current single ‘Still Into You’ has been a permanent fixture around the top of NZ singles and radio charts and the new single ‘Ain’t It Fun’ has all the ingredients to potentially become the biggest they’ve ever released.

Paramore are a band at the top of their game, a force of nature and in vocalist Hayley Williams they have one of the best and smartest female talents anywhere in music today. Alongside guitarist Taylor York and bassist Jeremy Davis Paramore return to New Zealand as one of the biggest and brightest artists on the planet. With millions of albums sold and audiences banging down the doors, we’re thrilled to be bringing Paramore back for their third tour to New Zealand and their most spectacular and biggest production to date."

AUCKLAND - Vector Arena - Sunday 19th January - / 0800 111 999 - All Ages and Licensed.
CHRISTCHURCH - CBS Arena - Tuesday 21st January - / 0800 TICKETEK - All Ages and Licensed.

Keep an eye out for our interview with Hayley in CDM Issue #9 - out on Monday! - but in the meantime, here's a little preview:

CDM: Do you have any favourite New Zealand memories or anecdotes from past visits?
PARAMORE - HAYLEY WILLIAMS: We swam in the ocean a few times [and] had some really good food. Fish and chips! It's been a while but I think the thing that we remember the most is just how cool all the people there are to us. Like the fans there at the shows, they're really easy to talk to and hang out with, and it's just a really good environment for us. I don't know after now having been away for a few years and putting out a new record - I really don't know what to expect as far as the shows go - but like I said, we've always been treated so well there and we've always felt very welcome and we're just ready to experience that again.
