Watch: The 1975's Matty Healy discuss 'Me & You Together Song' + the upcoming album.
Matty Healy's full interview with Beats 1 Radio host Matt Wilkinson has just been released, in which he discusses their latest release 'Me & You Together Song', and what people can expect from the upcoming album, 'Notes On A Conditional Form'.
He reveals that the album is an hour and twenty minutes long, and also mentions a song called 'Guys', which he wrote about the band members' relationships with one another ("We're really lucky that we love each other so much, we've been together for so long so we're kind of like brothers. We've got a song called 'Girls' - and I wanted to write a song about how much I loved my mates. I wanted people to have a love song for their mates. It's the last track on the record and it's just about how much I love my mates. It's cute.").
There's also a shout-out to New Zealand and their upcoming headline slot at Laneway during talk of the Grammys, with Healy saying, “We’re playing a show in Auckland [New Zealand that day]."
