Kacey Musgraves returns with new track 'Deeper Well' + announces fifth studio album.

Marking the return of Kacey Musgraves, her latest single 'Deeper Well' dropped today alongside the announce of her fifth studio album of the same name. The album will be released on March 15th.

Musugraves co-produced 'Deeper Well' with longtime collaborators Daniel Tashian and Ian Fitchuk. She also recorded a good portion of the record at the iconic Electric Lady Studios.

She shared with Apple Music on the inspiration behind the title: "Honestly, those words, “deeper well,” just fell out. We were up in New York City writing in one of the best studios I've ever been in, which is Electric Lady, such a vibe, Greenwich Village. And we were in the room, which was Jimi Hendrix's actual apartment. It's just at the best mojo. I had wanted a little bit of a different... I was craving going somewhere else than Nashville. I was like, I want to just be around some other kind of energy. And I wasn't putting too much pressure on myself to just, oh, we have to write an album. I just was like, let's go up there and just see what starts falling out. Usually, all my songs, I think most of the time they start as a title and I'm like, this would make a good song. But I think that one just came from just conversation. The lines kept stumbling out. And when we wrote that that day, I felt it was really special to me. And I thought, okay, we've got some songs here. And I feel like it's a record and it has to be called ‘Deeper Well.’ I just think it sums up where I'm at.
