We heart: The 1975's neon signs.

We heart: The 1975's neon signs.

In case you missed it [not sure how you have if you've been on our website recently], the new album by The 1975, 'I Like It When You Sleep, for You Are So Beautiful Yet So Unaware of It' is out, and it's brilliant.

As well as the album's brilliance, the visuals for the new album are equally as astounding. They were a collaboration between Matty's flatmate and close friend Samuel Burgess-Johnson, and photographer/designer David Drake, who worked together to create an original neon sign for each song on the album.

Each song's sign was photographed in a distinctive place to suit the mood of the song - for instance 'The Ballad Of Me And My Brain' is right next to a Sainsbury's, as in the song he says his brain is “likely in a Sainsbury's / Flirting with the girls and waiting for me.”

Check out all the images below…

P.S. Read our new cover story with The 1975 HERE.

P.P.S. According to a recent interview with Matty, the signs will be auctioned off for charity at some stage!
