Watch: Tame Impala perform new songs on Saturday Night Live.

It’s been nearly three years since the release of ‘Currents’, and finally Tame Impala are back and releasing new music, with a full album speculated to come out later this year.

Frontman Kevin Parker has previously stated that he doesn’t “like to play unreleased songs live… the first time people hear it is the kind of recorded glory, like the premeditated thing that I’ve spent two years on – rather than being half-drunk bashing it out on stage, you know, hitting clanger notes and stuff.” - however, the band have gone and done just this, premiering new song 'Borderline' on Saturday Night Live.

‘Patience’ and ‘Borderline’ were performed on-stage to a lucky audience and introduced by the legendary Sandra Oh. Both tracks feature the classic sound Tame Impala are known for, and we can’t wait to hear more. Check them out below…
