5 reasons to catch Kesha live next April.

5 reasons to catch Kesha live next April.

To celebrate the fact that Kesha is bringing her ‘Rainbow Tour’ to Australia and New Zealand in early 2018 (playing Auckland's Trusts Arena on April 2nd), we’ve made a list of very important reasons that you’re definitely not going to want to miss this show.

Here’s the official tour info:

"Rolling Stone called Kesha’s live performances “one of the most positively uplifting, inclusive concert experiences available in 2017.” Backed by a live band and with her trademark swagger and playful snarl, Kesha will perform a set of her past global hits, her show-stopping current single “Praying,” the new single Learn To Let Go and other songs from ‘Rainbow’ (Kemosabe Records/RCA Records), “an artistic feat” (Entertainment Weekly) for the singer which debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 and topped charts in nearly 30 markets worldwide.

Praised by New York Times, Billboard, Vanity Fair and more, as well as ranked #4 in Rolling Stone’s 50 Best Albums of 2017, ‘Rainbow’ earned Kesha the first GRAMMY nominations of her career, with ‘Rainbow’ up for Best Pop Vocal Album and “Praying” getting a nod for Best Pop Solo Performance."

And here are five reasons why you should attend the ‘Rainbow Tour’ next year:

#1. Firstly and most importantly, Kesha's live show sounds incredible. Just watch her perform her latest single ‘Learn To Let Go’ in the BBC Radio 1 Live Lounge below (as well as a cover of Khalid and Marshmello’s ‘Silence’)…

#2. The ‘Rainbow Tour’ will see Kesha showcase music from her latest album ‘Rainbow’, which is the most deeply personal Kesha music yet. Watch her discuss the importance of the music with Good Morning America below (while wearing an amazing green suit):

#3. She spoke further at a press event in London about the album as a whole, saying, “I’ve never been more excited about a piece of art I’ve ever done in my entire life. This is truly from the inside of my guts.”

She went on to say: “I’ve never been in touch with a huge part of who I am and who I’ve become. There was a very long, long, long period of time where I was not sure if I was ever going to be able to put out music again, and that’s all I’d ever wanted to do since I could remember being a person, so when I couldn’t, that was really difficult.”

#4. As well as her own ‘Rainbow’ album, Kesha collaborated with Macklemore on his new album for a song called ‘Good Old Days’ - watch them perform it on The Ellen Show below:

#5. From posts on her Instagram, it looks like she shoots a confetti cannon into the audience - and it looks kind of amazing. Check out some footage from tour below:
