A photo diary from... Holly Humberstone.

A photo diary from... Holly Humberstone.

In celebration of her upcoming first ever New Zealand show on July 31st (final tickets available here!), Holly Humberstone has compiled a photo diary for Coup De Main - highlighting some of her favourite memories from her recent North American tours supporting Olivia Rodrigo, as well as Girl In Red, and her Coachella debut.

"I feel like over the last few years, I've been reluctant to grow up and to become an adult," also reflects Humberstone in a new short film for YouTube, 'A Handbook For Growing Up Fast', during which she discusses learning how to navigate touring and personal growth. Explaining further, she says: "Even though I'm 22, I definitely should be mature and more responsible but I just hate the fact that I'm growing up. I just miss feeling like a kid again. I love being an adult and getting to do all of this stuff, but I really feel like a 14-year-old girl."

This was taken whilst getting ready for a show in Montreal with Girl In Red. I had just started the run of shows and still getting used to playing such big shows. I felt so lucky every night to be able to visit such cool places.

From before a show in Kansas City! My very talented friend Deanie made this sick edit.

This picture was taken at Coachella Weekend 2. I had never been to Coachella before and had been looking forward to it for months. The crowd was SO nice and I also really loved getting to dress up.

Me playing my favourite guitar at one of the Olivia Rodrigo shows. I think this was towards the end of the tour and I was very tired from three months of travelling but getting on stage every night was still the most magical feeling.

This is a photo Deanie took in Kansas City before the show when we went exploring. I never thought I’d get the chance to see so much of America.

This photo was taken coming off stage at the Greek on the last show of the whole tour. It’s the coolest feeling coming off stage after a good show, nothing else in the world gives me quite the same buzz!! I went out and made a fool of myself after this and was very hungover on the plane back to London.

Another picture from backstage before a show with Olivia. She had such a cool stage set up, so we had to make the most of the sick photo ops!! Getting to watch her be amazing every night was the most inspiring thing, I couldn’t wait to get back into the studio to write more tunes!

A piccy from backstage in Chicago before one of the Girl In Red shows. I had just devoured a huge deep dish pizza earlier in the day and was waking up from my food coma before the show. The crowd in Chicago was one of the best of the whole tour.

Somewhere in America after playing my set. People were so lovely and supportive of me while I was playing. I think the song I loved performing the most is my new track 'Sleep Tight' which came out whilst we were out there on the road.

This was taken whilst filming a mini documentary for YouTube in LA at the halfway point of the tour. We found this incredible old house on top of a hill and just had a lovely time. It was a really nice moment to reflect and although I missed home a lot, I remember feeling so grateful to get to visit all these amazing places.
