Dua Lipa x 'Radical Optimism' appreciation post.

Dua Lipa's highly-anticipated third upcoming album, 'Radical Optimism', is set for release on May 3rd, 2024 - and we're so excited to have more songs in the Dua-universe to bop to. 

On the concept of radical optimism, Lipa shared in her announcement of the record: "A couple years ago, a friend introduced me to the term Radical Optimism. It’s a concept that resonated with me, and I became more curious as I started to play with it and weave it into my life.'

To mark the upcoming release, we've decided to celebrate... 

#1. Dua has been working with producers on this new record such as Tame Impala’s Kevin Parker, Tobias Jesso Jr. and Danny L. Harle - and we're obsessed with the tunes this group have been making together.

#2. There have already been some iconic videos for the new era including 'Houdini' and 'Training Season'.

On the story behind the track 'Training Season', Lipa shares: "And while it is obviously about that feeling when you are just absolutely done telling people… men specifically in this case, how to date you right; it is also about my training season being over and me growing with every experience. I have never felt more confident, clear or empowered. And while it may be that training season is never over for any of us, you start to see the beauty in finding that person to experience it with. You stop looking for the trainees and become more interested in having someone where you are and someone to grow with."

#4. Lipa recently sat down to chat with Zach Sang where she revealed that she describes her music as "dance crying", the fact she wrote 97 songs for the new record, and more in this in-depth interview... 

#5. She has also announced upcoming shows at some of the most gorgeous ampitheatres across Europe - including Germany, Croatia and France. We can't wait to see pics and videos of Lipa performing at these beautiful venues!
