Tegan And Sara's brand new album 'Heartthrob' is officially out now in New Zealand!
As you will already know from having listened to lead-single 'Closer', the duo's seventh studio album is a natural evolution from their 2010 'Alligator' remix LP - featuring [The Bird And The Bee's] Greg Kurstin on producer duties for most of the tracks.
Songs 'Now I'm All Messed Up', 'I Couldn't Be Your Friend' and 'How Come You Don't Want Me' - which was co-written by Jack Antonoff of Fun. - are all front-runners for some of the very best that you will hear this entire year.
I've got a lot of love for this album - not just because they are my favourite band - in a world where Tegan and Sara have been supremely short-changed for over a decade in terms of how much widespread recognition their well-deserving back catalogue has been denied, I have every confidence that these ten new songs will be the ones to propel them from sold-out theatres to headlining arenas... and a return tour to New Zealand!
