5 reasons to catch Bastille live next week at their very first ever Auckland show.
British pop outfit Bastille are set to play in New Zealand next week on Thursday January 23rd at Spark Arena, marking their first ever headline show in our country.
Ahead of the show next week, we've put together five reasons you don't want to miss this show...
#1. The band released their latest album 'Doom Days' last year which the tour is in support of, and we can't wait to see our favourite song from the album live, 'Joy':
#2. When we caught up with them last in Australia, they took these polaroids to express how they feel about New Zealand:
#3. They kicked off the new album cycle with 'Quarter Past Midnight', which sounds even better in a live setting. Watch them perform it at a MTV show below:
#4. On their club nights tour last year, they performed a cover of REO Speedwagon's 'Can't Fight This Feeling' - fingers crossed they perform it as part of the NZ show!
Watch a performance of it from the BBC Radio 1 Live Lounge:
#5. In an interview with the Evening Standard, the band's frontman Dan Smith described their show as such: "For us, and hopefully for the people coming to the shows, this feels like quite a cathartic exercise in escapism — but also in a knowing escapism.”
