'Dune: Messiah' will reportedly start filming in August 2025.

It is reported that 'Dune: Messiah' will reportedly start filming next year in August, marking the third film of Denis Villeneuve's 'Dune' franchise. It has been confirmed by Villeneuve that Florence Pugh and Anya Taylor-Joy will take on prominent roles in this film with their characters coming to the forefront. 

“Follows Paul Atreides, now Emperor Muad’Dib, navigating his immense power while battling political foes and a conspiracy within his circle. As House Atreides faces collapse, the real danger emerges for Paul’s lover, Chani, and their unborn heir.”

Denis Villeneuve reveals that Princess Irulan (Florence Pugh) and Alia Atreides (Anya Taylor-Joy) will take on “prominent” roles in ‘Dune: Messiah,’ similar to how Chani (Zendaya) assumes a central role in the second film.
