A Fall Out Boy x 'So Much (for) Stardust' appreciation post.

Fall Out Boy has just released their eighth studio album, 'So Much (for) Stardust' - featuring the singles, 'Love From The Other Side', 'Heartbreak Feels So Good', and 'Hold Me Like A Grudge'.

About recording their new album, the band's Patrick Stump says: "Technology has made it really easy to make records much more quickly these days. There’s nothing wrong with that, and that spontaneity can be exciting, but we wanted to get back to the way we used to work. We wanted to make a record that was really lovingly crafted and deliberate and patiently guided – like someone cooked you a delicate meal. I’m not a very proud guy, but I’m pretty proud of this record."

So today on the day of release, we are celebrating...

#1. The first two singles, 'Love From The Other Side' and 'Heartbreak Feels So Good'.

#2. We're crossing our fingers for a New Zealand show announcement, so we can hear this setlist live...

#3. While we wait, we'll just have to play the new album on repeat. Order the vinyl/CD here

#4. Frontman Patrick Stump and bassist Pete Wentz discussed the album with Zane Lowe, where Wentz said: “Honestly, for me personally, coming out of the pandemic and just being quarantined or with my family, I was like, if we’re going to do this, and if I’m going to leave again … I was like, it’s got to be, for me at least, it’s got to be with purpose."

#5. In an interview with Official Charts, Patrick Stump revealed that his favourite song from the album is the title track 'So Much (for) Stardust'. He also said: "I really hope people resonate with a song called I Am My Own Muse too, mainly because I got to go absolutely nuts with the instrumentation. That was so fun."
