To celebrate the birthday month of one of our favourite shoes, Dr. Martens, we’ve decided to compile an appreciation post devoted to the classic shoe.
The original 1460 8-eye boot was launched on April 1st back in 1960, and since then has become a staple in the fashion and music scenes alike.
As part of their birthday celebrations, three further silhouettes have been re-introduced from the brand’s archive - including the Brogue, which was first made in the mid-60s, and the Chelsea Boot, the style which originated back in 1851 when it was patented by Queen Victoria’s shoemaker J. Sparkes Hall.
