Listen: Clairo's new song 'Closer To You'.

Currently on tour with Khalid, Clairo has released a brand new song, 'Closer To You', which she co-produced with Rostam Batmanglij and is lifted from her upcoming debut album, 'Immunity' - out worldwide on August 2nd.

About the new song, Clairo says:

something i learned through this album process was how to translate what i'm saying into the actual production, how to make the instrumental/effects talk back to you - i think this song is a good example of that exploration & i hope you enjoy

there's a sense of 'i know i shouldn't be doing this but i can't help myself' feeling. in order for me to communicate that through the instrumental, i thought autotune would be the "wall" that i was talking to this person through

also the reason why the chorus doesn't have hard autotune is because it can be interpreted as a compliment to this person as well- it's supposed to be a cry for help but they're only listening because it's subjective
