"I’m coming from the most confident place I’ve ever made music and I’m so happy I get to put these experiences into words. I’m writing about dating around and upholding my own standards. I think you can be a sensitive bad bitch... know your worth, but still admit that your feelings can get hurt, and that’s definitely the driving force behind this song," says Bailey Bryan about her new song, 'play w/ me', which was inspired by a late-night "u up?" text.

About writing the song, Bryan recalls: "It was like 11pm, I was already sitting there with my guitar when I got that ‘u up?’ text from a guy I was talking to - so I started writing it."

And about working with production team The Monsters & Strangerz (Rihanna, Selena Gomez) on the song: "I was really adamant that I needed to get in the studio with them. It was important to me that they could hear my ideas and know that I had a vision for this."
