‘Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt’ was one of the first Netflix Original Comedies, and is set to see an end to its popular seasons soon, but not before going out with a bang.
In the same vein as ‘Bandersnatch’, ‘Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt’ will get an interactive episode, where viewers can make decisions that will influence the story arc of the characters and change the plot of the episode.
Tina Fey - co-creator of the series - announced the upcoming episode at the Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt FYSEE panel: “We're thrilled to announce that we’re about to start production on an all-new Interactive Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt special, set to debut on Netflix in 2020. Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt was one of the first original comedy series on Netflix, and now it will be its first interactive comedy event. Fans will be able to make choices on behalf of our characters, taking different story paths with, of course, different jokes. I think it’s a great fit for our show and will be a great way to officially complete the series.”
The episode is due to begin filming, and will come out on Netflix at some point in 2020.
