Taylor Swift made a rare public appearance at this year's Tribeca Festival to discuss directing and creating her 'All Too Well' short film - in conversation with film-maker Mike Mills.

Variety reports that Swift detailed the origins of the short film to the audience: "I wanted to make a film about an effervescent, curious young woman who ends up completely out of her depth. You know when you’re walking into the ocean? It’s so fun, the idea of going out so far your feet don’t touch the ground. But you can get swept away."

The film's co-stars, Sadie Sink and Dylan O’Brien, also appeared as special guests during Saturday’s talk, and Swift performed a solo rendition of the song in its entirety.
