Tourica 2016 - San Francisco
Earlier this month, we embarked on a month-long trip around America that we fondly titled Tourica - as much of the trip was based around seeing a number of our favourite musicians live. Our first week was in San Francisco, where we attended the Outside Lands Festival of Music and Arts, as well as visiting other tourist destinations including the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art, and The Walt Disney Family Museum.
We teamed up with our friends at Glassons for the trip, wearing a number of their versatile pieces (that worked in both rain and shine - which San Francisco is renowned for!) to create a visual tour-diary - check it all out below…
Outside Lands Music and Arts Festival
Held at San Francisco’s enormous Golden Gate National Park, Outside Lands was a three-day-long festival with so many amazing artists playing - our highlights included Lana Del Rey, The Last Shadow Puppets, Halsey, and so many more.
We braved the surprising coldness to see the acts, layering band merchandise with denim skirts and t-shirts, so as not to freeze. Word to the wise, this festival is NOT Coachella! Pack accordingly.

Warmer days meant mesh was able to be worn - co-ordinated with a pair of sunglasses (a necessary for any Summer day in the U.S.), and a Drake dad-hat.
And yes, that is a donut-burger that I am eating. American food is literally the craziest thing you will ever experience.

Golden Gate Bridge
If you’re a big Pokémon Go player, then going to the Golden Gate Bridge is a necessity just for that reason alone - there’s lures everywhere! As well as that, the view is obviously spectacular, and watching the cars drive along the iconic bridge is a truly memorable experience. You can also walk over the bridge in daylight hours! Though it’s a little bit out of the way, it’s definitely worth it for the picturesque view.

San Francisco Museum of Modern Art
Only recently re-opened - the museum was closed from 2013 until May 2016 - the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art is a must-see destination if you ever find yourself in that city.
They have a great variety of artists, spread across seven different floors - so there’s something for everyone.

There's so many light-boxes that you can pose in front of for photos! The 1975 would truly be proud.
Floral bouquets and metal sculptures are just a small selection of what’s on offer at the museum, and they even have a late night on Thursdays until 9.30pm - which you might need, considering how much there is to see.

There’s also a sculpture garden with a vertical garden on one side of the building - making for great photos!
The Walt Disney Family Museum
Located in The Presidio, The Walt Disney Family Museum takes you behind the scenes of the life of Walt Disney, his family, and the films for which he has become so well-known for.
The miniature recreation of Disneyland is a total highlight, and with an upcoming trip to Disneyland on the cards, we totally began to feel like 10-year-old girls again.
