An appreciation post: The Last Shadow Puppets x 'Everything You've Come To Expect'.

In celebration of the release of The Last Shadow Puppets' new album 'Everything You've Come To Expect' - out today! - we have compiled a list of things that we currently appreciate about the bromantic duo.

But first, here's the official low-down on the album:

The Last Shadow Puppets return with their new album Everything You've Come To Expect.  The album finds Alex Turner and Miles Kane reunited with James Ford (production and drums) and Owen Pallett (string arrangements) and joined by Zachary Dawes (Mini Mansions) on bass, recording the follow up to 2008's The Age Of The Understatement at Shangri La Studio in Malibu.

Featuring current single 'Bad Habits', Everything You've Come To Expect is a more open and expansive work than its predecessor, wearing its influences less obviously on its sleeve – by turns the album is soaring, snarling and breathlessly seductive.

And now, here are five things that we currently appreciate about The Last Shadow Puppets:

#1. While paying a visit recently to Zane Lowe and his Beats 1 radio show, they performed an acoustic version of their latest song, 'Miracle Aligner'. It's so so beautiful - their voices are even better in a live environment. Watch the performance below:

#2. They're renowned for being a little crazy in interviews, which has led to the Internet creating several GIFs of their favourite TLSP moments. My personal favourite is when Miles Kane pretends to be a crab. Check them out:

#3. When they first announced their return to the scene (eight years since the release of their last album, 'The Age Of The Understatement'), the only image that they released was of Alex and Miles wearing matching tracksuits in different colours. The tracksuits have become very much part of the TLSP aesthetic (with Miles wearing his while on tour, as seen in numerous fan photos), and I'm now just holding out for them creating custom tracksuits to sell as merchandise. Surely it's only a matter of time.

#4. They're on tour at the moment across Europe and the UK, and accompanying them in their live band is two out of three members of our other faves, Mini Mansions. Zach Dawes not only worked on the recording of the album, but is their bass player too - and Tyler Parkford plays in their live band, singing back-up and playing keys. Watch a live performance of them playing a cover of The Beatles' 'I Want You (She's So Heavy)' below:

#5. There have been a plethora of photo-shoots and new press shots to accompany all the press they've been over the past few months in the lead-up to the release of the album. Though sometimes the outfits have been questionable to say the least, we've compiled a few of our favourites. Check them out:

P.S. If you haven't been following us on social media, then you won't know that one of the Coup De Main team is currently in Europe, going to various TLSP shows. Check out some highlights below:
