Collaborations are so hot right now... Paul McCartney/Kanye West/Rihanna. Mini Mansions/Alex Turner. Now, Shawn Mendes and Nick Grimshaw.

Shawn and Nick recently performed an original improvised piece called 'Sad Song' for BBC Radio 1.

You'd think with a title like that, 'Sad Song' would be about a break-up, but when Grimmy's involved, nothing is ever as it seems. The pair, accompanied by an acoustic guitar, spend the entire song crooning about first world problems like missing 'American Horror Story' and dirty socks.

My favourite line is definitely Grimmy's early morning woes: "I went to the toaster to make toast and there was toast already in it."
