Lizzo claps back with her flute.

It all started with an Instagram video; legendary rapper and singer Lizzo - of ‘Good As Hell’ and ‘Boys’ fame -  posted a short clip of herself playing her flute (nicknamed Sascha Flute), jokingly asking if anyone knew Will Ferrell, and could pass on the message that she was challenging him to a jazz flute battle.

WILL FERRELL— I CHALLENGE YOU TO A JAZZ FLUTE DUEL. IF YOU KNOW HIM... TELL HIM LIZZOS LOOKIN 4 EM

A post shared by Lizzo (@lizzobeeating) on

Ferrell - whose iconic character Ron Burgundy, a.k.a. Anchorman, is well known for a specific jazz flute scene - responded on Twitter dressed in as Burgundy, and delivered a 15 second solo.

Naturally, Lizzo had to find another way to top this, and really win the battle against Ferrell. Her response? A near shot-for-shot recreation of ‘Anchorman’s famous jazz flute scene - featuring herself as Ron Burgundy, and Este Haim instead of Christina Applegate. To make matters even better - she performs a jazz flute rendition of her own song, ‘Juice’.

We think the winner of this battle is pretty clear.
